Strata-G provides waste management services for solid, hazardous, radioactive, and mixed waste throughout the waste lifecycle. We manage waste from cradle to grave, including low-level waste (LLW), mixed low-level waste (MLLW), and transuranic (TRU) waste. Our professionals help government and commercial clients characterize waste, maintain regulatory compliance, reduce disposal risk, and coordinate safe treatment, storage, transportation, recycling, and final disposition.
Our team supports waste generators from initial planning and characterization through packaging, documentation, shipment, and disposal. We develop waste profiles, prepare shipping documentation, evaluate disposal pathways, and coordinate with commercial and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) treatment, storage, disposal, and recycling facilities (TSDRFs) across the United States.
Strata-G also develops and implements pollution prevention (P2) and Environmental Management System (EMS) programs. These programs help clients reduce waste generation, identify opportunities for reuse and recycling, and improve the efficiency of waste operations.

Project Highlights
Spallation Neutron Source
Strata-G supports Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s (ORNL’s) Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) by managing all waste-generating activities across research, beamline experiments, facility operations, and construction projects. As the primary contact for SNS waste, our team ensures compliance with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements through proper characterization, packaging, and guidance. We provide expertise in radioactive waste classification, disposal coordination, and inventory management while pursuing cost savings through recycling, reuse, and shipment efficiencies. Strata-G also oversees post-irradiated sample waste streams and supports construction projects with landfill profile reviews and compliant waste transport, helping SNS maintain safe, efficient, and cost-effective waste operations.
Waste Isolation Pilot Plant
Strata-G supports the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) through compliance reviews, technical evaluations, and project controls expertise. Our team has assisted the National Transuranic (TRU) Program by reviewing program plans, procedures, and waste documentation to ensure compliance with DOE waste acceptance criteria (WAC) and the hazardous waste facility permit. We have also provided project analysis to the DOE Carlsbad Office by reviewing earned value management systems, preparing variance reports, and developing resource-loaded schedules to meet DOE Headquarters’ Life Cycle Plan requirements. Together, these efforts strengthen WIPP’s safe, compliant, and efficient waste management operations.
