Kay Matthews, a Procurement Center Representative with the Small Business Administration (SBA) for Tennessee and North Carolina, recently presented the 2019 Region IV SBA Small Business Subcontractor of the Year Award to Dan Hurst and the Strata-G Team. The award is based on outstanding service. Dan thanked Strata-G employees for their excellent service to our customers and congratulated them on the exceptional performance that made the award possible.
Strata-G is grateful to be part of the LATA-Atkins Technical Services, LLC (LATS) team that recently won the Waste Management Services contract at Y-12. This is a 2.5 year subcontract with five 1-year options. The LATA-Atkins press release stated, “The LATS team is further strengthened by team member Strata-G, an accomplished Veteran-Owned Small Business. Strata-G has Y-12 experience on the Liquid WMS subcontract and provides solid waste characterization and management services to other Y-12 entities.” Kudos to Strata-G’s Bryan Schock and Angela Fleming, who along with their dedicated Y-12 team, have provided outstanding service to the customer, Consolidated Nuclear Security.
Strata-G is proud of our newest graduate, Cade, a Smoky Mountain Service dog we sponsored 2 years ago as a puppy. Recently, Strata-G President and CEO, Dan Hurst, along with other Strata-G staff, participated in the Passing the Leash ceremony, officially transitioning Cade to her Veteran and his wife, both of whom look forward to the improvements in their lives that Cade will bring.
Safety Fest TN drew over 1,200 attendees to its annual slate of free safety training classes, demonstrations, and workshops. Among them were Kate Honebrink, Strata-G Executive Assistant, and Tina Webb, HR Specialist, who went to learn First Aid/CPR/AED basics. They enjoyed the small class of video and hands-on learning and were instructed in how to make a sling, stop a bleed, use an AED, perform CPR, treat someone in shock and trauma, and other basic skills. Thanks for attending. You make our office safer.
