Strata-G Waste Services Representative Tyler Boullie plays a key role in supporting the complex waste management needs at ORNL’s SNS.

From laboratory research and beamline experiments to building maintenance and construction projects, Tyler successfully manages all waste-generating activities across SNS operations.

As the primary contact for SNS waste, Tyler applies RCRA regulations to characterize waste, ensure DOT packaging eligibility, and guide staff on compliance and safety. His expertise includes classifying radioactive waste (LLW vs. MLLW), securing container space, identifying cost-effective disposal paths, and coordinating final disposition. He actively pursues cost savings through recycling, reuse, property sales, and bundling shipments.

He also oversees the post-irradiated sample waste stream, ensuring SAA compliance, steady hazardous waste movement, and inventory control, while supporting construction activities by interpreting landfill profiles, coordinating with generators, and ensuring compliant waste transport.
