Strata-G team members Charles Campbell (pictured far right) and Mike Burcham joined the JCI GT-1 (Green Tiger-1) Project at Clemson University in August 2023 (nearly 10 months in) and helped strengthen processes as Strata-G assumed expanded responsibility after January 2024.
Strata-G’s Gary Vaughn was added for additional field oversight, and the team worked intense schedules, including after-hours walkthroughs, to address Clemson concerns and help reset the relationship by June 2024.
GT-1 delivered energy efficiency upgrades across 99 buildings, including lighting, envelope, water and steam conservation, HVAC replacement, and Metasys integration, along with complex coordination and negotiations for roughly $10M of work in the final buildings (including $2M in change orders). In January 2025, JCI recognized the group as a Team of Perseverance, and Charles received a Perseverance Award.
Final acceptance was achieved at the end of January 2026.
