Strata-G recognized at Pinnacle Business Awards
Strata-G was recognized at the recent Knoxville Chamber’s Pinnacle Business Awards dinner for “displaying a commitment to making East Tennessee a better place to live and work.” Dan accepted the award on behalf of the Strata-G team and was typically humorous and humble in his remarks. Strata-G joins the ranks of past Impact Award winners that include Pilot Flying J, Covenant Health, Green Mountain Coffee, Copper Cellar Restaurants, and Prestige Cleaners. Jill Kovalchik, Strata-G’s Outreach Coordinator, leads our outreach effort and was on hand to celebrate. Congratulations to all our employees who help make our East Tennessee home a better place.

Dr. David Haskell Presentation at UT Arboretum Conference Center on April 24
On Tuesday, April 24, 7:00 p.m., at the UT Arboretum Conference Center, Strata-G will sponsor a presentation by Dr. David Haskell. Dr. Haskell is the 2018 John Burroughs Award-winning author of the book, The Songs of Trees. A Professor of Biology at the University of the South, he has been called “that rare kind of scientist Rachel Carson was when she pioneered a new cultural aesthetic of poetic prose about science.” A recent review in The Times Literary Supplement stated, “The Songs of Trees has the diverse busyness of a thriving woodland. It is hard to think of a recent scientifically-inflected book on nature that is as fluent, compelling, and intoxicatingly rich.” The presentation is free and open to the public.
