Strata-G is delighted to be part of the Southern Ohio Cleanup Company (SOCCo), a joint venture led by Amentum with Fluor, Cavendish Nuclear, and four subcontractors: A2RGC, RSI Services, Strata-G, and Veolia. SOCCo was awarded a 15-year, $5.87 billion DOE contract to complete the cleanup and demolition of the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant in Piketon, Ohio. Transition began in June, and SOCCo will officially assume responsibility on October 1, 2025. The work includes safely demolishing former plant buildings, remediating soils and landfills, and operating the On-Site Waste Disposal Facility, all part of DOE’s Vision 2031 to save taxpayers billions and prepare the site for reindustrialization. Strata-G is excited to bring our expertise and values to this historic project, working alongside our partners to deliver safe, efficient, and impactful cleanup for the DOE and the community.
