Our Project Controls Subject Matter Expert, John Clayton, teaches MGT 480, a project management course held within the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee. This class places students in the role of project managers, navigating the integration of scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, communication, risk, procurement and stakeholder management.
The final class project was to create a scope, cost, schedule, and risk baseline for their vision of the Neyland Entertainment District project. Students were judged on their projects “SharkTank” style!
A major thank you to those who participated in judging these final projects, featuring the following sharks: Former Federal Project Director Laurie Folden and current Project Director Jon Caldwell from National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Director of the UCOR Project Management Office Steve Braden, Chairman of the Tennessee State Board of Education and Navarro Project Consultant Bob Eby, Project Director and Senior Vice President John Platt from Bechtel Corporation, and our very own Chief Operating Officer, Leah Berry!
