Strata-G Practices ALARA During the Pandemic
Strata-G practices ALARA, “as low as reasonably achievable,” as we work to keep our employees safe. This principle means that even if it is a small dose, if receiving that dose has no direct benefit, people should try to avoid it. To do this, we use three basic protective measures employed in radiation safety – time, distance, and shielding – to protect ourselves during the pandemic when we need or have to be around people outside the home. Limit the time spent around others, maintain 6’ distance from others, wear a mask.
