Strata-G Helps with tnAchieves
Tammy Phillips knows. So does Bruce Phillips. Janna Nash understands, too, as do other Strata-G tnAchieves mentors. What do they know? “I was that kid,” says Tammy, “who was first in my family to go to college and who did not have a clue about how to get there.” And, that’s what tnAchieves is all about – helping that graduating senior achieve success in navigating from high school to college. Bruce Phillips is volunteering for the 3rd year because of the connection he makes with one or two students. “There’s always that one that I am able to help, that one student who makes it because of tnAchieves and my willingness to volunteer,” he said. The time commitment is not excessive, but the potential to make a difference in a young person’s life is huge. “If you can get them that far,” said Janna, “you’ve accomplished a lot.”
