Strata-G’s Smoky Mountain Service Dog Growing Up
Joey Harmon, SGS employee at ETTP, had the idea to adopt a Smoky Mountain Service Dog to serve a severely wounded veteran. You voted to donate towards this at our Christmas party to allow SMSD to sponsor 2 pups, the first which
is Cade, shown here. The video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IELnKDyDTq4 shows how our donation towards Cade’s upbringing will make a significant difference in a disabled vet’s life. Thanks, Joey, for a terrific idea. Cade looks like he fits right in with the Strata-G team!
Congratulations, Strata-G SASEF Award Winners!
Each year, Strata-G rewards student achievers with a $500 Environmental Stewardship Scholarship at the Southern Appalachian Science and Engineering Fair. This year’s winners are Meredeth Matteson and Trevor Good from Lenoir City High School with the project, “R-Values for Alternative Building Materials.”
Thanks to our Strata-G volunteer judges in addition to Janna: Jeannette Widman, Mark Brummette, Darrell Daugherty, Karen Atchley, Becca Rogers, Jason Case, and Leah Berry. Leah said “the shock and excitement on the faces of our winners when their award was announced was worth their time and effort.”
