Safety and Health Support for Waste Disposition Services

Strata-G personnel provided leadership for the safety organization and the general workforce at two major Department of Energy facilities. Strata-G personnel implemented the Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) philosophy which helped the contractor set the highest standard of safety among all of this DOE Prime Contractor's subcontractors by achieving a case rate of 0.0 spanning over 220,000 man-hours. This rate was achieved while providing safety oversight during Low Level Waste (LLW), Transuranic (TRU), and Shock Sensitive field work. Strata-G also led the development of systems and tools which helped the client meet and exceed all contractual safety and health requirements. Strata-G performed accident investigations and classification of injury illness events. In addition, Strata-G supported the DOE Prime Contractor in the transition of the contract to a self-perform direct workforce with projects like RH-LLW monolith disposal and SNF transfer. Strata-G supported the development of policies, plans, and procedures for the safe transfer of high hazardous materials.
