Strata-G experts create Pollution Prevention (P2) programs that integrate requirements from multiple sources such as State and Federal regulations, executive orders, contract requirements, corporate directives, and facility permits. Strata-G personnel have successfully helped companies in both the public and private sector to reduce, reuse, and recycle materials from process design to final demolition.
- Conduct P2 audits, reviews and Pollution Prevention Opportunity Assessments (PPOAs)
- Develop waste quantity and cost analyses and document progress toward waste reduction goals
- Create P2 training programs and guides
- Support sustainable design (e.g., LEED for existing buildings and new construction)
- Evaluate green transportation methods and develop metrics
- Evaluate surplus chemical and material management processes
- Support development of Site Sustainability Plans in accordance with Executive Order 13514
- Support multiple award-winning P2 programs (e.g., White House Closing-the-Circle Awards)
- Support electronic stewardship efforts as a part of the Federal Electronics Challenge
Past Project Highlights
- Strata-G helps clients attain the highest level of performance within the Tennessee Pollution Prevention Partnership (TP3) to gain a State-issued TP3 Green Flag to fly at their facilities.
- On an annual basis, our associates actively support the Y-12 National Security Complex and ORNL’s summary reporting, progress reporting, plan updates, and awareness activities required by the THWRA.
- Strata-G supports Y-12’s and ORNL’s sustainable acquisition processes to improve procurement of recycled- and biobased-content products, and water and energy efficient equipment.
- Strata-G has reviewed implementation of the ISO 14001-registered Environmental Management System at ORNL to identify opportunities for P2 sustainable practices and EMS integration.
