Past Project Highlights
- Integrated into the Nuclear Safety and Environment Division of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) project in Cadarache France, Strata-G provided onsite services in development of the project safety regulatory basis and integration of safety requirements into project control documents. Specific tasks included development of the Preliminary Safety Analysis Report (PSAR) for submittal to the French nuclear regulator, technical review of the system requirements documents for all facility buildings and systems, and participation in design reviews and hazards analyses for facility buildings and systems.
- Strata-G provided Shift Technical Advisors (STA) for a Category 2 Nuclear facility at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. STA responsibilities included reviewing and evaluating proposed operations for compliance with safety basis documentation; initiation and approval of Unreviewed Safety Question Determinations (USQD); supporting configuration management of credited safety systems and components; and hazardous material tracking and receipt authorization.
- Strata-G actively supports the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in the review of license renewal applications submitted by nuclear power stations. These reviews are focused on assessments of the integrity of civil structures and compliance with regulatory requirements and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) codes.
