
Director, Business Development
As Strata-G’s Business Development Manager, Jenny Freeman creates networks and builds bridges for Strata-G. She also works as the facilitator for the Savannah River Site’s Citizens Advisory Board. Before coming to Strata-G in 2006, Jenny was the Executive Director of the Energy, Technology, and Environmental Business Association (ETEBA). She helped grow the organization from 80 member companies to 150, and make its annual Business Opportunities Conference one of the largest of its kind in the Southeast. Jenny has also worked for CDM Federal Services providing business development and proposal writing skills in their Oak Ridge office.
Jenny’s history also includes consulting for environmental organizations on issues such as clean air, hazardous waste laws and regulations, and land use planning. She is a long-standing member of Tennessee Citizens for Wilderness Planning, one of the oldest grass-roots environmental organizations in the State of Tennessee ,and has won awards for her efforts in preserving land on Tennessee’s Cumberland Plateau. A traveler at heart, she took a year off before her time with ETEBA, and with her husband and then 11-year old daughter, traveled the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

Outreach Coordinator
Bryan Schoch is Strata-G’s Community Outreach Coordinator. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Tech, a Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Tennessee, and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Tennessee.
Bryan has more than seventeen years of professional experience in waste management with the Department of Energy and commercial clients, including eight years of experience with mixed waste incinerator operations. Bryan implements Strata-G’s community outreach program, which has ongoing relationships with Knox Area Rescue Ministries, the Southern Appalachian Science and Engineering Fair, Habitat for Humanity, and a variety of environmental stewardship organizations including the National Park Service, the Cumberland Trail Association, and the city of Oak Ridge’s Adopt-A-Street program. Bryan is also active in outreach activities at his church, including Manna House, an emergency food pantry; and an annual Christmas store for underprivileged families.

Division Manager, Business and Information Services
Leah Berry is the Director of Business Services for Strata-G. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and a former Senior Manager for the Domestic Ground Operations Division of FedEx Express.
With more than fifteen years of transportation and logistics experience, Leah has provided technical consulting to the Department of Energy and commercial clients. Currently, Leah is providing logistics and feedstock analysis for commercial biofuels and alternative energy clients, and is a member of the Southern Technology Council’s Biomass Logistics and Transportation Working Group. Leah was a panelist for the 2008 Biomass Supply Chain and Logistics Conference in the Southeast and wrote and presented a paper entitled An Automated Tool for Optimizing Waste Transportation Routing and Scheduling for the Waste Management Symposia.
In addition to participation in Strata-G’s community outreach programs, Leah is Past President of the Farragut Rotary Club, a supporter and guardian for World War II veterans on Knoxville’s Honor Air Flights to Washington, D.C., a member of the Board of Directors for the Nativity Pageant of Knoxville, a member of the Board of Directors for the Southern Appalachian Science and Engineering Fair, a member of the Board of Directors for Bridge Refugee Services, and a Mentor and Editor for the Hand Up For Women program.

Division Manager, Engineering Services
Debbie Browning is the Director of Engineering Services for Strata-G. She has a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of South Carolina. She is a registered Professional Engineer and a certified Project Management Professional.
Debbie has 25 years of experience in the areas of project and program management, waste management, nuclear safety, environmental services, and regulatory compliance. More recently she has also provided client support in the important field of energy management and conservation.
Debbie has served as an officer of the local chapter of the American Society for Engineering Management and is a member of the US Green Building Council and the Project Management Institute.

Division Manager, Scientific Services
Kevin Mitchell is the Director of Scientific Services for Strata-G. He received a Master’s Degree in Geochemistry from the Colorado School of Mines, where he graduated Cum Laude, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from Millsaps College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Kevin is a registered Professional Geologist with over fifteen years of diverse technical and management experience in public and private sector industries providing multi-media generator services and environmental compliance, hazardous and radiological low level waste management, characterization, profiling, certification, remedial/removal actions, quality control, logistics and supply chain management, and geological services. Kevin has also supported alternative energy and energy efficiency projects, carbon footprint assessments, and logistics and feedstock analyses associated with biofuels and bioproducts.
Kevin joined Strata-G in 2003 and now lives in Oxford, MS, where he manages the Strata-G Oxford office. Kevin recently served as the President of the Rotary Club of Oxford-Ole Miss, and he currently serves as the Secretary of the Mississippi Biomass and Renewable Energy Council.

Division Manager, Waste Management and Transportation
Sheila Hudson is the Director of Waste Management and Transportation for Strata-G. She has a Master of Public Health in Occupational/Environmental Health and Safety from the University of Tennessee. She is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager and a member of the East Tennessee and Philadelphia Chapters of the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals (AHMP). She is also a member of the DOE Railroad Working Group.
She has over twenty years experience in waste management, transportation and disposal, D&D operations, project management, Emergency Management and regulatory compliance, supporting Department of Energy operations. More recently she has provided client support in the growing area of Sustainability and Stewardship.
In addition to supporting Strata-G’s Outreach Program, Sheila is a longtime supporter of Habitat for Humanity. She also served as President of the High Ridge Equestrian Center, a non-profit therapeutic riding center for children in 2006 and 2007 and is a volunteer at the Family Refuge Center.
