LOGISTICS AND SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

PROJECT HISTORIES

Inventory Analysis
Strata-G personnel conducted an analysis of the supply chain network for a major drugstore retailer that resulted in the redesign of stocking and replenishment strategies for perishable and seasonal items. The redesign led to a 50% reduction in cycle time for these items, and a system-wide reduction of inventory of approximately 15 percent.

Forecasting Manufacturing Capacity
Strata-G personnel developed a forecasting model for a major consumer electronics company to determine future manufacturing capacity needs. The project scope involved the development of a multiple regression model to predict color television sales for the U.S. market. As a result of the project, the plan to build an additional manufacturing facility was postponed for the near term.

Logistics Optimization and Software Development
Strata-G provided logistics analysis services and support for a major Department of Energy (DOE) contractor in conjunction with a multi-year cleanup project. The project scope included analytical data review, staffing analysis, onsite process observation, adherence to DOE and Department of Transportation safety and security regulations, and development of a logistics optimization software tool for site wide scheduling.

Customized Supply Chain Courses
Strata-G personnel developed and conducted a customized logistics and supply chain executive education program for 200 sales and marketing staff of an international electronics company. The course covered topics such as inventory management, distribution strategies, network design, negotiation strategies, and collaborative transportation management.
