Past Project Highlights

• A detailed operational evaluation of the Ft. Kamehameha Sewage Treatment Plant was performed in Oahu, HI.  Recommendations were made to improve energy efficiency and effluent quality which resulted in energy savings in excess of 11,000 MMBtu and cost savings of $400,000 annually.

• Strata-G helped support the preparation of a Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) Feasibility Study for the decontamination and decommissioning (D&D) of the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant process buildings, which covers over 90 acres. Specific tasks included identifying and evaluating D&D technologies, performing risk assessments and safety evaluations, and preparing waste volume and D&D cost estimates.

• Strata-G supported an efficiency review of H Canyon, HB Line, F and H Laboratory and K Area at the Savannah River Site in South Carolina. The purpose of the review was to assess the current operational and facility costs with the goal of identifying potential cost improvements. Recommendations from the review resulted in an estimated first year savings in excess of $400M and cumulative savings in excess of $750M over 10 years.
