Non-Proliferation

Strata-G personnel are helping to secure our nation through our support of the U.S. DOE’s Global Threat Reduction Initiative (GTRI) and other non-proliferation efforts. Strata-G can provide a wide range of technical subject matter experts in security sensor sustainability evaluations, chemical and radiological sabotage analysis, and local threat assessments through coordination with host nation police and military units, and the U.S. State Department.  Our services include:   

• Transportation and facility vulnerability assessments, physical security planning, sustainability, and logistics studies
• Transportation security planning and implementation for the return Foreign Research Reactor Spent Nuclear Fuels
• Force-on-force development and evaluation and limited scope performance testing
• Vehicle/fleet procurement and sustainability programs
• Nuclear material packaging and shipping
• Radiological characterization and material sensing techniques

Past Project Highlights

Providing UT Battelle at Oak Ridge National Laboratory physical protection support in the review, evaluation, and development of transportation workshop materials, including presentations, exercises, and modifications of battle board Tabletop materials.

 Supported the National Transportation Research Center, Transportation Sustainability Program team, in reaching an agreement with the Russian Federation on the distribution of new vehicles to transport special nuclear materials.  The agreement covered the required vehicle use, a centralized maintenance program, configuration control, and assurance visits by the US. 

 Strata-G transportation security experts met with a Russian Federation team comprised of transportation managers from the Kurchatov Institute in Moscow to present and demonstrate the advantages of a dedicated maintenance facility for vehicles engaged in the transportation of special nuclear materials.
